Keeping Your Account Details Up to Date

It's important to keep your contact details current so we can reach you about your services, invoices, and any urgent security notifications.

  1. Log into your client area at https://fantasticnzhosting.co.nz/whmcs/clientarea.php
  2. Click on your name in the top-right corner, then Edit Account Details (or go to Hello, [Name] > My Details).
  3. Update any of the following:
    • Name
    • Company Name
    • Email Address (this is your login email and where invoices are sent)
    • Phone Number
    • Address
  4. Click Save Changes.

Changing Your Password

  1. In the client area, click your name > Change Password.
  2. Enter your current password.
  3. Enter and confirm your new password.
  4. Click Save Changes.

Tip: Use a strong, unique password with a mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols. A password manager like 1Password or Bitwarden is highly recommended.

Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

For extra security, we strongly recommend enabling 2FA on your account:

  1. In the client area, go to Security Settings (under your account menu).
  2. Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
  3. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator).
  4. Enter the 6-digit code to confirm.
  5. Save your backup code in a safe place.

Updating Payment Methods

  1. Go to Billing > Payment Methods.
  2. Add a new credit card or PayPal account.
  3. Remove any outdated payment methods.

Why Keeping Details Current Matters

  • We send invoice and renewal reminders to your registered email
  • Domain WHOIS information must be accurate (ICANN requirement)
  • We need a valid phone number to contact you about urgent account or security issues
  • Your postal address may be needed for GST/tax purposes

If you need to change the primary account holder or transfer ownership of an account, please contact our support team for assistance.
