Cancelling a Service

We're sorry to see you go! If you need to cancel a hosting plan, domain, or other service, here's how to do it.

How to Request Cancellation

  1. Log into your client area at https://fantasticnzhosting.co.nz/whmcs/clientarea.php
  2. Go to Services > My Services.
  3. Click on the service you want to cancel.
  4. Click the Request Cancellation button.
  5. Choose your cancellation type:
    • End of Billing Period: Your service will remain active until the current paid period ends. No refund issued.
    • Immediate: Your service will be cancelled and removed as soon as our team processes the request.
  6. Enter an optional reason for cancellation (your feedback helps us improve).
  7. Click Request Cancellation.

Important Things to Know

  • Backup your data first: Before cancelling, download any website files, databases, and emails you want to keep. Once a service is terminated, data is permanently deleted.
  • Domain names: Cancelling a hosting plan does NOT cancel your domain registration. Domains are managed separately and will remain active until their expiry date.
  • Refunds: Refunds are available within 30 days of initial purchase for annual hosting plans. Monthly plans are not eligible for refunds. Please see our Terms of Service for full details.

Before You Cancel

If you're cancelling due to a technical issue or because you're not happy with the service, please talk to our support team first. We may be able to resolve your issue or find a better plan that suits your needs.

How to Download Your Data

  1. Log into cPanel.
  2. Website files: Use File Manager to download your public_html folder, or use FTP.
  3. Databases: Use phpMyAdmin to export your databases.
  4. Emails: Download important emails through your email client before cancelling.
