Configuring Email on Your Mobile Device

Access your Fantastic NZ Hosting email on the go by setting it up on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device.

Email Settings You'll Need

Before you start, grab these details from your cPanel welcome email or client area:

  • Email address: your full email (e.g., info@yourdomain.co.nz)
  • Password: the password you set when creating the email account
  • Incoming server: mail.yourdomain.co.nz
  • Outgoing server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.co.nz
  • IMAP port: 993 (SSL/TLS)
  • POP3 port: 995 (SSL/TLS)
  • SMTP port: 465 (SSL/TLS)

We recommend IMAP over POP3 as it syncs your email across all your devices.

Setup on iPhone / iPad (iOS)

  1. Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account.
  2. Tap Other > Add Mail Account.
  3. Enter your name, email address, password, and a description.
  4. Tap Next.
  5. Select IMAP at the top.
  6. Under Incoming Mail Server:
    • Host Name: mail.yourdomain.co.nz
    • Username: your full email address
    • Password: your email password
  7. Under Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), enter the same details.
  8. Tap Next and then Save.

Setup on Android

  1. Open the Gmail app (or your preferred email app).
  2. Tap the menu icon > Settings > Add account.
  3. Select Other.
  4. Enter your full email address and tap Next.
  5. Select IMAP (recommended).
  6. Enter your password and tap Next.
  7. Enter the incoming server settings:
    • Server: mail.yourdomain.co.nz
    • Port: 993
    • Security type: SSL/TLS
  8. Enter the outgoing server settings:
    • Server: mail.yourdomain.co.nz
    • Port: 465
    • Security type: SSL/TLS
  9. Tap Next and complete the setup.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Always use your full email address as the username.
  • Make sure SSL/TLS is enabled for both incoming and outgoing.
  • If you get certificate warnings, try using your server hostname instead of the domain name.
  • Double-check your password — it's case-sensitive.
